1. John August STURM, son of Wilhelm STURM and Wilhelmina Catheryn STAPEL , was born on 5 Aug 1898 in Hambden, Geauga Co., OH, died on 17 Oct 1947 in Fairport Harbor, Lake Co., OH, at age 49, and was buried on 17 Oct 1947 in Painesville, Lake Co., OH. The cause of his death was multiple Sclerosis.

John married Marie RAMER ,² daughter of Unknown and Nancy Daisy RAMER , on 17 Aug 1922 in Kenton, Hardin Co., OH.¹ Marie was born on 3 Feb 1902 in Dunkirk, Hardin Co., OH ^2,3,4 and died on 25 Dec 2001 in Mentor, Lake Co., OH, at age 99.⁴

General Notes: "Adopted?" by Samuel "Willie" Ramer (Uncle Dode). She remembers that her mother tried to tell her that her name was "Marie Francis ...."


When she was a child, teachers from the college (Ohio Northern) gave her books to read and the housemother at one of the fraturity houses gave her a piano so she could practice music.

Medical Notes: 1918: Influenza, which killed thousands.
In her 90's she got macular degeneeration.
